Tilopay is a payment platform available in 27 countries throughout Central America and the Caribbean, and used by over 7,000 businesses. Tilopay makes it easy for your shoppers to place their orders using credit cards, bank transfers, or interest-free installment payments.

This chapter covers the steps to enable Tilopay’s APMs in your store, and lists the payment methods available through our Tilopay integration. To learn more about the features, requirements, and setup for the Tilopay payment gateway, see Connecting with Tilopay.

 

How It Works

Once you’ve created your Tilopay merchant account in one of the supported countries, you will be able to enable the available payment methods for that country in your Tilopay dashboard.

When the shopper proceeds with their order, they will be taken to the Tilopay payments page, where they will be prompted to select one of the available payment methods for their region, and complete their transaction.

Orders placed with Tilopay share the same fulfillment process as typical orders.

FAQ

Are recurring payments supported?

Yes, Tilopay supports recurring and subscription payments.

Why are some payment methods not visible to shoppers using the correct transaction currency?

Some payment methods have a minimum transaction threshold the shopper must meet. If the shopper does not meet the minimum transaction threshold, the payment method will be unavailable during checkout.

How can I determine which payment method was used to place an order?

In your Tilopay dashboard, you can view which payment method is associated with each transaction in the Transactions area. In your BigCommerce control panel, locate the order’s Transaction ID value in order to identify the corresponding transaction in Tilopay.
