Open Banking, also known as Pay by Bank, is a bank transfer payment method that supports account-to-account transactions in Europe. With Open Banking, your shoppers can make purchases from their bank’s online portal or app, providing a smooth and secure checkout experience.

How It Works

Once connected, shoppers meeting the requirements will see it as an available payment option at checkout.

Open Banking on the checkout page

After proceeding with their order, they will be taken to the Open Banking payment page, where they can select their bank to complete the transaction. When the order is placed, it will appear in your control panel as paybybank (via gateway) in the Payment Method field. Orders placed using Open Banking share the same fulfillment process as typical orders.
