Sometimes shoppers will come to your store looking for products from specific brands. By including brand information on your products, you can provide a superior shopping experience.

You can create and assign brands while creating your product, and even set up brand pages with a description and logo. You can easily view and manage all of your brands in one place in the control panel from ProductsBrands.

While having a brand name for your product is optional for your storefront, some channels (like eBay and Amazon) may require a brand name to list on their marketplace. If your products are handmade or you are the manufacturer, consider creating your own brand to give yourself unique appeal.

FAQ

Can I create brands and apply them to products in bulk?

Yes, you can use the legacy Import/Export tool to create and assign brands to products. Import a temporary placeholder product with all of your brands listed under the Brand Name field. Then, delete the placeholder product, and the brands will remain.

While you can assign existing brands to products with the modern Import/Export tool, it does not allow you to create new brands in bulk.

Brands can also be managed through the Catalog API. See our Dev Center for more information.

Can I customize the design of each of my brand pages?

Yes, you can use Page Builder to customize brand pages. In the list of brands, select View in Page Builder from the Action menu to the right of the brand name.

Why don't I see the brand image I added when I click on a product?

Brand images only show on the All Brands page, so you will not see them on product pages.

Can I remove the brand from my product page?

Yes, you can choose to either show or hide product brands in product Display Settings.

Can I link to the All Brands page in my store's top navigation?

Some themes in the theme marketplace offer settings to link your brands list in the header. If your theme does not have this feature, you can manually create a brands link using the following steps:

1. Go to ProductsProduct Categories and create a new category. Give the category a name like View All Brands.

2. Copy the new category's URL.

Copy the URL of the newly created category

3. In Settings301 redirect, create a 301 redirect with the following information:

  • Old URL — Paste the URL you copied when creating the new category.
  • Redirect Type — Select Manual Link from the dropdown.
  • New URL — Enter /brands in the field.

Redirect your new category to the All Brands page

Visitors who click the link to the new category in your store's navigation will be taken to the All Brands page.
