Deity Falcon is a third-party hosted progressive web app (PWA) storefront service that can be used as part of a “headless” solution to replace or complement a native BigCommerce (Stencil) storefront.
If you’re not familiar, a PWA works like a normal website, but also like an app. They can be installed locally on a device, so they appear on the home screen. They can be accessed offline and can take advantage of app features like push notifications. The user experience is closer to an app, rather than a website through a browser.
You can get started with Deity Falcon in Channel Manager.
Requirements
- You need an active BigCommerce subscription.
- You need a Deity Falcon account (you can create one during setup).
Setup
Go to Channel Manager and click + Create Channel.
Under Storefronts, click Connect next to Deity Falcon.
On the next few screens, you’ll choose your Falcon plan, then add your personal information and payment details.
