AlipayHK is a popular wallet payment method available in Hong Kong, with over 2,000 online and physical stores accepting it as a payment method.
Shoppers use the app to scan a QR code, and complete the payment through password or biometrics authentication.
AlipayHK supports major credit and debit card types, including American Express, Mastercard, and Visa.
How It Works
Once enabled, shoppers that meet the requirements will see AlipayHK at the Payment step of checkout.
After selecting AlipayHK and proceeding with the order, the shopper will be redirected to AlipayHK’s payment page, where they can sign into their AlipayHK account or use the AlipayHK mobile app to complete their payment.
After an order has been placed, it will appear in your control panel as [Gateway] (AlipayHK) or AlipayHK (via [gateway]) in the Payment Method field. Orders placed using AlipayHK share the same fulfillment process as typical orders.
Requirements and Limitations
- Your store must meet the following criteria:
- Your store must use Optimized One-Page Checkout.
- Your store must have HKD set up as a transacting currency.
- Limitations
- Delayed capture is not supported by AlipayHK.
