Logging In To Your Store

For Bigcommerce store owners, there are two distinct areas which can be accessed; the control panel and the client area.

The Control Panel

The control panel is the dashboard for your store. This is where you manage products, orders, customers, and most other features of your store.

The Client Area

The client area is the dashboard for managing your account with Bigcommerce. This is where you to access your account details, billing information, domain and WHOIS information (including your EPP code), and support pin number.

The Client Area credentials are also used to log into the Bigcommerce Community Forum.

Logging in to Your Control Panel

1. Go to the Bigcommerce Login Page.

2. Enter your full email address and your password. Unless you have already updated it, this will be the password you entered when creating the account.

Having trouble logging into your Bigcommerce store? Click the Need Help? link below the Log In button to reset your password or see Common Login Issues for tips on troubleshooting common login issues. Note that our support team does not have the ability to manually reset passwords.

Logging in to Your Client Area

1. Go to the Bigcommerce Client Area login page.

2. Enter your full email address and your password. Note that the Control Panel and Client Area login credentials (email and password) are managed separately from one another. Generally, the Client Area login email and password are the ones you used when originally creating the account.

Having trouble logging into your Client Area? Click the Forgot your password? link below the Password field to have your credentials emailed to you.

Accessing the Client Area from the Control Panel

If you have owner permissions, you are able to access the Client Area by logging in to your control panel and going to BillingAccount Summary.

To confirm your user role, log in to your control panel, click the Users link in the upper right corner of the screen, and locate your email address in the user list. Check the User Role column to the right for owner.
