Vipps is Norway's most popular mobile payment method. With Vipps, shoppers can pay for their orders with a card saved in the Vipps mobile app, providing a speedy and secure checkout experience. More than 1 million Norwegians have used Vipps to pay online, and over 3.6 million Norwegians have the app installed.
How It Works
Once you’ve connected Vipps with Adyen, shoppers that meet the requirements will see it as a payment option at checkout.
Upon proceeding with the order, the shopper will be redirected to the Vipps payment page, where they will be prompted to enter their mobile number. From there, they will be sent an authentication link via text message to complete their transaction from the Vipps mobile app.
When the order is placed, it will appear in your control panel as vipps (via Adyen) in the Payment Method field. Orders placed using Vipps share the same fulfillment process as typical orders.
Requirements
- Your store must meet the following criteria:
- You must have NOK as an available transactional currency.
- Your store must use Optimized One-Page Checkout.
- Shopper Requirements
- Shoppers must use an address in Norway at checkout.
- Shoppers must have NOK selected as their transaction currency.
