Promotions are a great tool for encouraging shoppers into purchasing specific products and raising the average order value in your store. There are several different types of promotions available to you.
Automatic promotions are discount rules that are automatically triggered when the shopper's cart meets the discounts requirements.
Bulk pricing rules, discounts offered to customers purchasing in larger quantities, can be set up while editing your product details.
Coupon promotions allow shoppers to enter in a coupon code during checkout to activate a promotion. Only one coupon code can be applied to an order, but you can use as many promotions as the order qualifies for.
Lastly, you can set up and assign promotions to specific customer groups in your store, such as VIPs or affiliates. You can also use them to reward valued customers by combining them with customer groups. You will need to be on a Plus, Pro, or Enterprise plan in order to create customer groups and use this discount type.
Automatic promotions and coupon promotions both allow you to set up notification banners on your storefront. This lets shoppers know about available discounts and what they need to do to activate them. You can even add a congratulatory message to be displayed once the shopper unlocks a promotion.
