PayPal is one of the most popular digital wallets worldwide, with 435 million active customer and merchant accounts. Shoppers link their bank account, credit card, or debit card, allowing them to complete purchases with PayPal quickly and securely.

How It Works
Once connected, shoppers who meet the requirements will see Carte di pagamento (Payment cards) as a payment option at checkout.
After proceeding with their order, the shopper will be taken to Nexi’s payment page where they can choose PayPal as their payment method and complete their payment.
Orders placed with PayPal share the same fulfillment process as typical orders.
Requirements and Limitations
- Your store must meet the following criteria:
- You must have a PayPal Business account.
- Your store must use Optimized One-Page Checkout.
- Shopper Requirements
- Shoppers must have a PayPal account.

- Additional Setup
- You must enable PayPal in your merchant account.
- You must configure your PayPal profile to work with Nexi XPay. Note that profile configuration instructions are available in Italian only.
- To enable recurring payments, you must contact PayPal technical support to enable Reference Transactions in your PayPal account.
- Shopper Requirements
- No country restrictions
- Shoppers must use one of the following transaction currencies: AUD, BRL, CAD, CZK, DKK, EUR, HKD, HUF, JPY, MYR, MXN, NOK, NZD, PHP, PLN, GBP, SGD, SEK, CHF, TWD, THB, USD.
