PagoInConto is a payment method in Italy that allows shoppers to make secure and irrevocable, large payments directly from their bank account, bypassing typical card and bank transfer limits.
How It Works
Once connected, shoppers who meet the requirements will see Carte di pagamento (Payment cards) as a payment option at checkout.

After proceeding with their order, the shopper will be taken to Nexi’s payment page where they can choose PagoInConto as their payment method and complete their payment.
Orders placed with PagoInConto share the same fulfillment process as typical orders.
Requirements and Limitations
- Your store must meet the following criteria:
- You must have EUR as an available transactional currency.
- Your store must use Optimized One-Page Checkout.
- Shopper Requirements
- Shoppers must use an address in Italy at checkout.
- Shoppers must select EUR as their transaction currency.

- Additional Setup
- You must request PagoInConto to be added to your Nexi XPay merchant account. To request PagoInConto, complete this contract and return it to PPRO, Nexi's Partner.
- You must enable PagoInConto in your Next merchant account under the Alternative Payments menu with the ID you received from PPRO.
- Limitations
- Cryptocurrency is not supported.
