Optty is a payment integration that gives you access to a variety of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) payment methods from around the world. Using Optty, you can offer your customers the flexibility and familiarity of a popular BNPL payment in their region, while increasing average order value and conversions in your store.
This chapter covers the process for enabling Optty APMs in your store and provides a list of payment methods available in our Optty integration. To learn more about the features, requirements, and setup for the Optty payment gateway, see Connecting with Optty.
Enabling Optty Payment Methods
To offer a supported payment method in your store, go to the BNPL Management area of your Optty Retail Control Center (ORCC) and select the payment method from the list of available providers. You will need to create an account with the payment provider in order to complete the connection process.
Once you’ve enabled a payment method, it will appear in your store under product thumbnails, on product and cart pages, and at checkout. You can manage display settings, such as the order in which payment methods appear, from the BNPL Management area of your ORCC.

After selecting Optty (“Buy Now Pay Later”) on the checkout, the shopper will be redirected to the Optty payment page where they will select their payment method of choice, enter their payment details, and complete the transaction.
By default, orders placed with Optty’s payment methods appear in your control panel as Optty Buy Now Pay Later in the Payment Method field, but you can change this by editing the Display Name in the Optty Settings tab of Settings › Payments.

Requirements and Limitations
- Your store must meet the following criteria:
- You must meet Optty’s merchant requirements.
- You must offer the transactional currency associated with the payment method. See Available Payment Methods for more information.
- Your store must use Optimized One-Page Checkout.
- Shopper Requirements
- Shoppers must select the currency associated with the payment method.
- Limitations
- Manual capture is not supported by any Optty payment method.

FAQ
Can I offer an Optty payment method in multiple currencies?
Yes, you can add the payment method in your ORCC for each currency you want to support. For example, you can add Klarna as a payment method in GBP, SEK, and EUR. However, each currency is set up as a separate payment method in your ORCC.
How can I determine which Optty payment method was used to place an order in my store?
While there isn’t an option to view the payment method associated with an order’s transaction ID, the Reporting & Analytics area of your ORCC displays performance metrics for each APM, such as usage, average order value, and conversion percentage. See Optty’s Reporting for more information.
