MoMo is one of the most popular digital wallets in Vietnam, with 70% of the market share, and used by over 5 million people. MoMo is a secure, convenient payment method that offers numerous services such as in-store and online shopping, bill payments, money transfers, and more.
How It Works
Once connected, shoppers who meet the requirements will see MoMo as an available payment method at checkout.
After proceeding with their order, the shopper will be taken to the MoMo’s payment page where they can choose to complete payment through the MoMo app or log in to the mobile page with their phone number and password.
If the shopper is not using a mobile device to place the order, they can scan a QR code to complete their payment in the app.
After the order has been placed, it will appear in your control panel as momo_wallet (via gateway) in the Payment Method field. Orders placed with MoMo share the same fulfillment process as typical orders.
Requirements and Limitations
- Your store must meet the following criteria:
- Your store must offer VND as an available transactional currency.
- Your store must use Optimized One-Page Checkout.
- Shopper Requirements
- Shoppers must use an address in Vietnam at checkout.
- Shoppers must select VND as their transaction currency.
- Limitations
- Manual capture is not supported.
