Most apps currently available in the App Marketplace work with Stencil and will require no extra code. Apps that handle backend store functions, such as QuickBooks Online and ShipperHQ will work natively with your theme and do not require adding any scripts.
However, some apps may require extra steps to make them compatible. For apps that require additional code, instructions should be included in the setup. If instructions are not provided, use the suggestions below for the best placement of your app's script.
Apps That Have Scripts
App integrations that affect the storefront, such as apps that provide analytics, will require their scripts to be placed in certain parts of the theme, such as the footer or header. The Script Manager, found in Storefront › Script Manager, can be used to inject code into specific pages on your store.
Note that site verification codes (meta tags) used to verify your site by service providers like Google, Bing, or Pinterest should be placed in Site Verification Tags, under Settings › Data solutions in the control panel.
Apps That Need an Edited Theme
Some apps may require their code placed into pages not accessible via the Script Manager. Use Edit Theme Files in Page Builder to access the specific template files using an in-browser editor. See Stencil Themes for more information.
