Belfius Pay Button is the online payment method for one of Belgium’s largest banks. With Belfius, shoppers can complete transactions quickly and safely using the bank’s mobile app.
Payments made using the Belfius Pay Button are guaranteed and cannot be reversed by the customer, allowing you to begin fulfilling your orders as soon as they are authorized.
How It Works
After you’ve connected the Belfius Pay Button with Mollie, shoppers meeting the requirements will see it as a payment option at checkout.
When a shopper selects Belfius and proceeds with their order, they will be redirected to the Belfius payment page. From there, they can either log into the Belfius mobile app to complete the transaction or enter their payment details in Belfius Direct Net.
Once the order has been placed, it will appear in your control panel as Belfius Pay Button (via Mollie) in the Payment Method field. Orders placed using the Belfius Pay Button share the same fulfillment process as typical orders.
Requirements and Limitations
- Your store must meet the following criteria:
- Your store must be located in the European Economic Area (EEA).
- You must have EUR as an available transactional currency.
- Your store must use Optimized One-Page Checkout.
- Shopper Requirements
- Shoppers must use an address in Belgium at checkout.
- Shoppers must have EUR selected as their transaction currency.
- Limitations
- Delayed capture is not supported.

Are recurring payments supported with the Belfius Pay Button?
If you have connected Belfius via Mollie, you can use it in conjunction with SEPA Direct Debit to enable Stored International Bank Account Numbers (IBANs). Stored IBANs cannot be used by the customer on future orders, but it can be used by the merchant for recurring charges, such as subscriptions.
