BLIK is the most popular mobile payment method in Poland. The BLIK system is embedded in banking applications and is covered by all major Polish banks.

Currently, over 90% of all customers of Polish financial institutions have the option of using BLIK in mobile banking applications. With its high recognition and ease-of-use, BLIK is a great way to improve the checkout experience for Polish shoppers.

 
 

How It Works

Once connected, shoppers meeting the requirements will see it as a payment option at checkout.

When the shopper fills in the payment method details and proceeds with the order, they will be taken to the BLIK payment page. From here, they can enter their banking information and complete the transaction.

Once the order has been placed, it will appear in your control panel as gateway (BLIK) or BLIK (via gateway) in the Payment Method field. Orders placed using BLIK share the same fulfillment process as typical orders.

Requirements and Limitations

  • Your store must meet the following criteria:
  • Shopper Requirements
    • Shoppers must use an address in Poland at checkout.
    • Shoppers must have PLN selected as their transaction currency.
  • Limitations
    • Delayed capture is not supported.
 
 

Supported Gateways

Adyen

  • Additional Setup
    • You must request the payment method to be added to your Adyen account.
    • If you set up Adyen after June 2022, contact our Support team to have BLIK enabled in your store.
      • If you are not sure when you enabled Adyen, our team can check to see if BLIK is available for your account.
  • Shopper Requirements
    • Once BLIK sends a notification to the shopper’s banking app, they have 45 seconds to authorize the transaction before the checkout session expires.

Braintree

  • Additional Setup
    • Check the Enable alternative payment methods box and select BLIK from the dropdown menu in Braintree Settings within your BigCommerce control panel.

PayPal

    • Check the box next to BLIK in PayPal Settings within your BigCommerce control panel.
