Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) provides fulfillment solutions for businesses of all sizes, regardless of where they sell their merchandise. MCF gives businesses access to Amazon’s world-class fulfillment network, operational expertise, and fast shipping speeds for orders, while offering lower fulfillment costs with competitive rates and scalable capacity.
Why Multi-Channel Fulfillment?
- Fast shipping — You can deliver products through MCF as quickly as 1, 2, or 3 to 5 business days after their ship date. Orders are delivered every day of the week.
- Delivery promises at checkout — With MCF, you can improve sales conversion by sharing Amazon-backed delivery dates with customers, based on delivery location and product availability.
- Competitive pricing ‐ MCF has simple, predictable pricing. Just one fee for pick, pack, and ship, and no peak surcharges.
- Connect to BigCommerce — In just a few clicks, connect your BigCommerce store with MCF and automate your fulfillment. Save time by no longer having to manually create MCF orders, and your customers will benefit from fast shipping and reliable, accurate delivery dates.
- Set custom price rules — You have full control over the cost of shipping for customers. Replace Amazon’s recommended rate with flat rate or free shipping options, such as free shipping on orders over $49.
- Simplified operations — Position your products closer to customers with automatic inventory placement, and scale to meet seasonal spikes without increasing fixed costs.
- Fully trackable orders — MCF provides tracking details for any carrier via a tracking website.
Does the Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment app support multi-location inventory (MLI)? While MLI is a key feature of Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment, our app integration supports single-origin only.
How It Works
Ship your inventory to various Amazon fulfillment centers. When customers place orders, Amazon will fulfill these orders at one of the following ship speeds from when the order ships:
- Priority — 1 business day
- Expedited — 2 business days
- Standard — 3 to 5 business days
Requirements
- You will need an Amazon account. If you don’t have one already, you can contact Amazon to sign up. You do not need to be a seller on Amazon or using Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA).
- Your store must be based in the United States.
- Your products must conform to Amazon’s restricted product policies.

- Amazon Fulfillment (Standard | Delivers: MM/DD/YYYY)
- Amazon Fulfillment (Expedited | Delivers: MM/DD/YYYY)
- Amazon Fulfillment (Priority | Delivers: MM/DD/YYYY)
FAQ
See Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment FAQs if you want to learn more or have specific questions about using MCF.
How is Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment different from Fulfillment by Amazon?
Amazon MCF is a subprogram of Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). While FBA is intended for storing products that are sold on Amazon, MCF is open to products that are sold on channels outside of Amazon, including your BigCommerce storefront.
If you already use FBA, it can be convenient to send products for MCF at the same time. However, they are two separate programs offered by Amazon, each with their own pricing and fulfillment services.
Can I use MCF if my store is based outside of the US?
Currently only BigCommerce merchants in the US can use the app.
How are returns processed for orders using MCF?
You can choose to return items back to Amazon fulfillment centers, or follow your existing returns process.
Can I use MCF with orders from marketplace channels, such as Etsy, eBay or others?
Yes, MCF supports fulfillment to many channels. Walmart and eBay do not prohibit use of MCF, but they do not accept tracking from Amazon Logistics (AMZL) or allow Amazon branded packaging for fulfillment.
Given the current carrier restrictions imposed by some channels, we are providing the option to block orders from being shipped by the Amazon Logistics carrier. Beginning June 1, 2021 you will have the option to block orders from being shipped by Amazon Logistics for a 5% surcharge.
You can block Amazon Logistics in one of two ways. The first way is at the account level by going to your FBA settings, then scrolling down to Multi-Channel Fulfillment settings. Blocking Amazon Logistics at the account level will remove this shipping method from all MCF orders placed after the settings change.
The second way is when placing individual MCF orders via Seller Central or API. Changes to your Amazon Logistics preference when placing an individual MCF order will override your account-level preference for those orders. Note that blocking Amazon Logistics at either the account or the order level will result in a 5% surcharge.
