The GeoTrust seal is a dynamically-generated image that will only appear on stores protected by certain SSL certificates from GeoTrust. Having a GeoTrust seal will increase your shoppers' level of trust in your store, which can boost your conversion rate.

FAQ

Why is my SSL missing the "View site seal" option in my account dashboard?

If you are using the free SSL certificate or a third-party SSL, you will not have a site seal generated by GeoTrust.

Can I use the GeoTrust SSL Common Name field in my theme's settings to add a site seal to my store?

No. This setting has been deprecated, but it can still be found in older versions of some Stencil themes. If you still have this setting, we recommend updating your theme and using the steps in this article to add your SSL site seal.

Can I add my site seal HTML code to the store via other means?

You can use the Script Manager to insert the site seal code into your store's footer. Alternatively, you can add the code by editing your theme files directly.

Why is my GeoTrust site seal not visible on the storefront?

The site seal should display within 24 hours of installation and often will display within a couple of hours.
