Product Options: Text Fields

Text field options allow your shopper to enter text, messages, or numbers to associate with the product that they're ordering. They're a great way to let your customers customize products, and can also be used for the customer to send specific information or requests to you. Text fields are commonly used for custom messages or words for engravings or embroidery.

When creating a text field option, you can control the number of characters, lines, and type of information (alphanumeric or numeric only) your customer can enter. Keep in mind that text fields cannot be used in conjunction with price changes or other option rules.

What's an option set? An option set is a collection of one or more options that is assigned to an individual product. Products are added to an option set rather than directly to the product, so that you can apply options to more than one product at a time. Learn more.
