Integrating Constant Contact with BigCommerce

You must either have an existing Constant Contact account or sign up for one before attempting to integrate it with your BigCommerce store.

Enabling Constant Contact

1. Go to MarketingEmail Marketing.

2. Check the empty box to the left of Constant Contact, then click Save.

3. Click the Constant Contact tab which appears to the left of the General Settings tab.

4. Enter the following information:

  • Constant Contact Username — the email address you use to log into Constant Contact
  • Constant Contact Password — the password you use to log into Constant Contact

5. Click Verify Details.

Subscription Rules and Settings

In order to configure the Constant Contact integration subscription rules and settings, you must first create lists in Constant Contact for your customers to be added to. For more information on creating lists, see Constant Contact's documentation.

Once you have set up mailing lists in Constant Contact, you can use subscription rules to determine which lists your customers are added to.

Newsletter Subscription Rules

When someone subscribes on your storefront, you can choose to Add or Remove them from any of your Constant Contact lists.

Click the green plus (+) to add a new rule, the red minus (-) to delete a rule, and the paper icon to copy a rule.

New Customer Subscription Rules

When someone orders one of the following, you can either add or remove them from any of your lists in Constant Contact.

  • anything in your store
  • from this category (choose a category)
  • from this brand (choose a brand)
  • this specific product (choose the product)

Click the green plus (+) to add a new rule, the red minus (-) to delete a rule, and the paper icon to copy a rule.

Syncing order fields will allow Constant Contact to match certain information provided by the customer to particular contact fields in Constant Contact.
