How can I have rotating banner graphics on my homepage?

In Bigcommerce, you can set up rotating banner graphics that show your customers a new promotion everytime the page is refreshed. This lets you show a different promotion each time that your store is loaded. (If you are looking for a timed rotation via jQuery, please visit this article.)


1.) From your store's Control Panel click on Marketing and then View Banners.

2.) Click the Create a Banner button.

3.) Fill in the banner's name, content, page, and location for your banner. The trick to get the banners rotating is to have multiple banners for the same page (i.e. Home Page) and also the same location (i.e. Top of Page). With multiple banners for the same place, Bigcommerce will randomly cycle through each banner on a page refresh.

4.) Click Save, and repeat the creation of banners for your various promotions. 
5.) Once you have created all your banners, you may go to the page on which you specified, and refresh the page. You should see that the banners will cycle randomly with each refresh.
